wardrobe staples & a new ‘do!

This week has been a blur of packing, painting and preparing to move. In keeping with the process, I have left out only a few items to wear this week and everything else was tossed into Hefty bags and piled in the spare bedroom, ready to get out the door once moving day arrives. Needless to say, simply items like this striped dress are great because it isn’t too short for work, but it’s also something you could wear out with heels or wedges if you wanted to. A versatile piece to the fullest extent.

Anyway, I am so excited to move into a new place! I love the process of going through our stuff and donating, selling, and tossing things we just plain don’t need. Everyone jokes that we move once a year (we kind of do) but I think it makes us constantly assess what we have and purge things that simply exist to take up precious space.

On a MAJOR note- I got my hair done over the weekend by the absolute DREAM TEAM at Julien Farel Miami. I forgot how much I love my hair SUPER blonde (the result of some high-lift color to take out the brass), and I got a few inches cut off, layers added, and a magical cut known as the Lady Godiva. This cut is incredible because they go through your hair inch by inch and snip away the split ends, resulting in hair that grows longer and stronger. This is my hair without any heat styling – went to be with it wet and it dried perfectly frizz-free and with movement. I can’t wait to see the results when I actually make an effort! For those of you interested in learning about the salon, I invite you to an event they are hosting on Thursday, August 29th here in downtown Miami: https://www.facebook.com/events/156939807835904/. Hope to see you there!
