Last Thursday I rounded up a few girls and we headed to the Macy’s in Aventura Mall to celebrate the Brasil collection coming to Macy’s stores nationwide. The celebration had a bar stocked with Leblon Cachaca (my new favorite beverage) and waiters passing around delicious Brazilian bites like meat croquettes from Boteco. Brazilian dancers put on a performance and elaborate Carnival costumes were spotted throughout the store. There was a even a fashion show which displayed some of the colorful, fun and undeniably Brazilian influenced clothing. Even the makeup counters were participating–Estee Lauder has a fantastic bronze and golden ray of hues channeling the tanned bodies of Brazilian beaches.
After the fashion show, my guests and I headed to a well-known cocktail spot and restaurant nearby to sit, chat and catch up. We re-hashed favorite items from the store and also things we’ll have to go back and purchase! We came back through Macy’s later and listened to the Paolo Gualano samba band–awesome time and lively music. A live band really changes the tone of shopping–no buyer’s remorse here! 😉 I personally am in LOVE with the Marina canvas tote by Michael Kors, part of the Inspired by Brazil collection. Also, Francisco Costa designed an amazing limited edition collection inspired by a different side of Brazil… the architecture! It’s absolutely gorgeous.
