Happy Monday! A trend that certainly isn’t new, but is new to me, is boyfriend style jeans. I honestly have wanted to try boyfriend denim ever since Hilary Duff sang about keeping her ex-boyfriend’s jeans (“So Yesterday” for those of you who didn’t pick up on that). A little baggier, more distressed, and rolled up or down, boyfriend jeans can be a fun alternative to skinnies, but also need to be styled right so that your whole look doesn’t look haphazardly slapped together or baggy.
I opted to pair mine with a slightly fitted sleeveless top, some statement pieces on my neck & feet, and bright pink nails. If I weren’t at work, I might have paired with heels–I just hate wearing heels to the office. This outfit is so perfect for a day in South Florida–denim that lets you breathe and bejeweled sandals you can easily slip on & off at the beach. Speaking of–these white jeweled ones from Fibi&Clo are the perfect dose of glitz for daytime! They have several styles but this one in particular, the Positano, jumped out at me with a gorgeous mix of stones and sparkle. J’adore.
