boots & minidresses

I know I have said this time again, but fall in Miami is a tricky time. While the temperatures stay pretty warm, the fashion trends definitely shift. One of my favorite looks for fall in Miami is pairing a great pair of boots and showing a little leg with a minidress or skirt. Sometimes finding the perfect boot can be quite challenging–however these Ariat riding boots are exactly what my wardrobe has been missing! I have always loved riding boots when I see street style photos and celebrities wearing them, but I never knew what brand to pick or what color to go for–I like that these are black but with a section of a deep purple/maroon at the top of each boot. They are easy to slide on and off, so they are even ideal for traveling. My legs and feet are always cold on airplanes so I prefer boots over flats or sandals.

I never knew much about the brand Ariat before, but they are a classic American footwear brand associated with equestrian sports and lifestyle. I must confess, I don’t ride horses (and I only have one time, in Colombia), but these boots are fashionable enough to wear in my everyday life. I suppose next time I am presented with the opportunity I have the perfect pair of boots to reach for!

The striped dress looks perfect with the boots. I agree that boots are a warm option in borderline seasonal weather.
