Well would you look at that! Summer is “over.” September is rolling on and before you know it we will be celebrating New Year’s Eve! I don’t know if the years get shorter as you get older, or if it just starts to become increasingly apparent how short time has always been. This week I have been following NYFW from a spectator’s angle, rather than physically immersed in it like the past few seasons, and it makes it ever apparent that next season, I must go back! I miss my NYC peeps and that amazing city of energy.
We moved recently (hurrah!) and I have finally been blessed with the modern miracle of a walk-in closet. I swear getting dressed in the morning is like… the happiest experience. Hopefully this means I will start wearing things I have forgotten about and shop my wardrobe to an even fuller extent. In the meantime, gifts are always welcome…*ahem* and I do have a birthday coming up. I kid…I kid.
For now, here’s what I’m wearing on this fickle weathered Wednesday. I love this classic black dress because it easily goes from day to night, it can be dressed down with a loose top (like today), or stand alone as a fitted minidress. Peeptoe booties are a great transitional shoe because they still show off your recent summer pedi but offer a more coverage than a sandal. Pieces that I can wear all year are my favorite. Versatility is so hot right now.
On moi: Classic black skater dress (old, similar here and here), sheer button down blouse (old, similar looks here and here), peep-toe booties (c/o) and ladylike bag (c/o), oversized sunnies. Nails are Whitney by Zoya.
