coral lips/dalmatian spots…and a giveaway!

I am not gonna lie, today I feel very Carly Simon/Joni Mitchell/70s rocker chick…I think it’s the shades. It’s been a rainy and les miserab kinda day at work so in between rainstorms I had to squeeze in a quick pic. I hate when it rains sometimes, it’s such a deterrent to productivity and/or socializing. Which means you can find moi on my couch this evening watching CSI and maybe popping in a workout video. R&R as I like to call it.

On me: LOFT sweater(similar), LOFT ponte knit leggings, LnA knit v-neck, Jessica Simpson wedges (similar)

Alas, on to the giveaway. A few weeks ago I got my hands on a copy of a new book called The Darlings by Christina Alger. It quickly became my go-to for my trips to the pool and beach and a road trip I ended up on…needless to say I finished it in a weekend!

The story takes place around the Wall Street crash and how quickly a man’s life can change. The best part? The story opens and closes throughout the course of a week. It’s like Gossip Girl meets Wall Street meets Revenge. Aka: highly addicting and juicy! Scandals, secrets and namedropping of Upper East Siders are the norm in this novel. So HERE is how to get a copy of it: Like Blah Blah Blonde on Facebook. That’s it! Additional entries if you leave a comment here telling me your favorite book. 🙂

Note: May is National “Get Caught Reading” month…so a new book is just what you need! Contest ends next Tuesday, May 15th!

May is one time you want your students to get caught… reading , that is! It’s Get Caught Reading Month; celebrate with some fun book projects, reading games, and literature activities. A focus on reading is a great segue into summer , when you want students to extend their learning by continuing to read books, newspapers, magazines, and more, even while on vacation.
