friday’s classic: black & white

Today, I went simple with (don’t kill me) leggings. I dressed them up a titch with a slightly oversized oxford button down and my *new* wedges that were a totally unexpected and thrifty find last night on Miami Beach. I was so tired this morning after going to a little Rag & Bone shindig at the Soho Beach House and remembered one of my favorite looks from the runway, and decided to throw together a makeshift version of my own. Here’s my style inspiration:

And here is my interpretation:

Speaking of, I am dying to get my hands on a pair of the palazzo pants that sashayed down the runway. Too fab. Anyhow, I am carrying an accessory from last night’s gift bag, a Rag & Bone oversized dark denim tote bag that stylishly hauls (and hides) all of my stuff. In a moment of clarity this morning, I opted to wear a work-appropriate wedge over the model’s strappy stilettos.

I had so much fun at the Soho House and I can’t wait for event photos to start surfacing. The Grey Goose drinks served were so yum–I even saved the recipe to make at home! My favorite was the Cherry Noir Collins: Grey Goose Cherry Noir vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and club soda. Delish! Here are a few photos from Instagram to give a peek into the event:
