off to the yacht

Nautical looks are by far one of my favorite trends. Whether it’s breton stripes, head to toe navy, or a pair of Sperry’s, nautical is simply a look that translates with me. Maybe it’s from growing up around a boat loving grandfather, I always loved the style associated with relaxing on a boat. I’m also a big fan of fashion starlets like Olivia Palermo who are frequently working the stripes, and these days I think I could never own enough striped tees and dresses, though my bulging closet would beg to differ.

With that said, many of you know I work near the water and I frequently use the dock at our office for my shots. Sooo Florida of me, I know! Today we had a beautiful yacht come back into harbor and coincidentally I look ready to climb on board. I keep saying things of the sort–one of these days, I probably will climb on, and then it’s bon voyage everyone. Loving the leftover curls from my co-worker Sara, who is quite the genius with a flatiron.

Head to toe look, Old Navy–except Forever 21 necklace.

The water is my favorite place of trntauiliqy and as you know, blue is my favorite color for that reason. So, this was the perfect color palette for me. I’m actually designing a tablescape for a photo shoot that will be centered around the color blue, but not with these details. I loved this, but that goes without saying! 😉
