Last weekend, I got a phone call from the lovely Audrina Patridge, who was in Las Vegas hosting an event for the new Curve appeal fragrance. Audrina, along with Kevin Zegers, was tapped to be the face of the new Curve fragrance. Audrina, who is of course famous for her curves, had lots to say about the scent, the importance of fragrance, and also a little bit about the music she’s into lately. Chatting with her was so fun, because not only are we the same age–but I have always followed The Hills and kept up with where the girls are now. Read the interview below to learn more about Audrina!
Me: So you’re in Vegas, and I’m jealous. You’re celebrating your new endeavor with Curve appeal. What attracted you to work with the brand?
A: Well Miami isn’t too bad either! (laughs) Working with Curve was a no-brainer for me, because I was so familiar with the brand and with the original Curve fragrances. I knew the new scent was something that I’d like to be a part of.
Me: I remember the original Curve too! What are your thoughts on the new fragrance–what kind of guy wears Curve appeal?
A: A guy who is confident, secure, and knows what a woman wants. Some guys think that wearing cologne makes them less manly–I want to tell them all that it’s actually the opposite! Girls like guys to smell nice. And this scent is great because it isn’t too strong or overbearing, but it also makes an impact.
Me: So… I know it’s targeted at guys, but would you wear it? I wear Old Spice deodorant still so I think it’s totally normal.
A: Haha yes I would! And exactly…things that smell nice and clean I think can be for either gender.
Me: How important do you think fragrance is to a person’s daily look?
A: Oh my gosh it’s so important. I have been a huge fanatic for perfumes and fragrances my whole life–scent makes a huge difference. People think it’s what they look like that leaves a lasting impression–but they need to remember what the smell like definitely leaves an impression too!
Me: Agreed. I’ve got to ask you–you’ve always been very into the indie music scene and listening to bands who are off the radar, at least for now. Which artists are you listening to right now on repeat? I’m trusting you, I need to update my Spotify.
A: (Laughs) Hmmm… lately, it’s been a lot of Bat for Lashes, John Butler Trio, and Queen Caveat.
Me: Ok, downloading tonight. Thanks so much for chatting with me Audrina–have fun in Vegas and come visit Miami again soon!
Guys…take Audrina’s words seriously–scent (whether its good or bad) definitely makes an impact!
